In an effort to continue to keep our membership informed, after each board meeting there will be a new posting on the CCRA web site and in Ramblings summarizing the actions taken and the information presented at the board meeting. We hope you find this helpful!
The following action/information items are from the
April 30, 2006, board meeting. Action items: The current financial report was reviewed and approved
for acceptance, though the 2006 Spring Seminar figures are not completed yet. Information items: The new members of the CCRA board met after the 2006 Spring Seminar. There was an enthusiastic welcome to the new members and a heartfelt thanks and farewell to the members who served this association well in the past year. There was discussion concerning the historical significance and effectiveness of an ethics and grievance committee. Archival documents will be reviewed to discern past procedures. All look forward to future discussions regarding developing policy and procedure for the Ethics and Grievance Committee. The legislative committee reported on the application to DORA regarding certification of court reporters in Colorado. Certifications such as the RPR and the now non-existent Colorado CSR were discussed. The 2006 Fall Seminar and the 2007 Spring Seminar were
briefly discussed. New business information items consisted of: RPR testing on May 6. NCSA representatives at the NCRA seminar in NY on August 3. A CLVS committee for CCRA. Student sponsorship at the 2006 spring seminar
